Announces Winners from Hackathon hosted their first ever “Hack for Change” competition last month with 50 engineers and designers competing for $10,000 in seed funding for their social good apps.

Contestants of the hackathon were given 24 hours to build a social good app and founder of, Craig Newmark, worked with a panel of judges to award three finalists $10,000 in seed funding.

The top prize went to Brent Fitzgerald and Huned Botee from San Franciso with a community-based texting service,
