Netflix Comes to Nintendo 3DS, Now You Can Watch Movies on an Even Smaller Screen

God, do you remember these? They would always get stuck in my VCR and eat the tape. Then my VCR would become sentient and eat all my other tapes and leave. That happened to everyone, right?

The picture above doesn't have anything to do with this. I just want you to remember a time when if you didn't have the movie on tape and it wasn't on TV, you were sh*t outta luck. Now, you can watch movies within five minutes on a device that's less than the size of a video tape. TECHNOLOGY!

Does this kid look really stoned to anyone else?

"Wow, you guys had to REWIND stuff back then? Did you ride dinosaurs, too?

Anyway, popular yet recently hated movie giant Netflix released its streaming application for the Nintendo 3DS today, breathing a little life into Nintendo's somewhat struggling handheld.

Although Netflix only offers 2D movies at the moment, Nintendo announced that 3D movies will soon be available, taking advantage of the 3DS' highly-touted no-glasses-necessary titular effect. Oh boy, I can't wait to watch Robot Monster!

The way I see it, the more Netflix is accessible, the better. I love having multiple ways to watch Power Rangers In Space. But even though this feature is pretty darn neat (and will get even neater when they get 3D movies), it's hard for me to envision actually using it. The only places where I consistently have wifi are my home, where I would just watch Netflix through my TV anyway, and at work, where I would probably get fired for watching Power Rangers.

Ah, wait! Problem solved. I just need to find a company that allows watching Power Rangers during work hours. That shouldn't be hard at all.

Note: I think this is the third time this week I've tied my article back to Power Rangers somehow. How many references does it take to become an honorary Ranger?
