Universal Pictures Prepares PERCYFX Movie Editing App

Have you ever wanted to put your own personalized text or images on your favorite movie clips? I don't really know why you would, but now Universal Pictures' new iPhone app PERCYFX will make it even easier to bastardize creatively improve your beloved strips of cinema (provided it was made by Universal). PERCYFX comes out on July 14, so if you're looking forward to editing in obscene pictures and making it seem like your movie's protagonist is saying dirty things, mark your calendars.

"PERCYFX is an app created by veterans in the computer animation industry and it allow fans to insert personalized texts and images into clips from movies as if it were seamlessly part of the film," a press release stated. I don't know what edits are so important that you have to make them from your phone, but whatever. This does seem like a great way for Harry Potter fan-fiction writers to fulfill their fantasies on the go, though. A little dialogue change, a new DeviantArt image here or there, and BAM: Harry/Draco shippers get what I--uhh, I mean they-- want.
