My iPad 2 and iPad 2 at Work: A Book Review
With the rate at which tablets are being developed, updated and purchased, it is no wonder there are books to help assist with their navigation. Two separate books were published through Que Publishing, which is an imprint of Pearson. Jason R. Rich brings Your ipad 2 at Work and Gary Rosenzweig releases My iPad 2: Third Edition. Both are set up to help with the use of the iPad 2 and the iOS 5 software update. It is easy for the average tech user to buy products and not use them to their full capacity, but it seems counterproductive to take that route.
With My ipad 2: Third Edition, there are instructions on how to personalize your iPad 2 to building presentations with Keynote and navigating the world of apps is all covered. The colored detailed photographs and step-by-step direction are great for new users. There is a great segment for navigating using maps, which will deter anyone from buying a separate GPS system. The only flaw here is that for more advanced users or returning users from the iPad, many of the steps and ideas are repetitive.
The iPad 2 at Work is slightly more detailed and specialized for business users. A better understanding of iCloud and how it functions as well as syncing it to your computer is detailed for anyone new to the iCloud feature. The most important aspect of this book is Jason R. Rich’s in-depth look at useful business apps and travel-related apps. This, as well as the former book, can become repetitive to return users or more advanced users. Excellent graphics that help lead the direction and a very orderly index for quick access to information.
Both of these books are available for $24.99
