Vice President of Maketing, Communications, and Public Affairs Allison Cera and Director of Solutions Marketing Christina James at Alcatel-Lucent, both join worlds as they construct the book Identity Shift. Allison has over 15 years of marketing, sales, and product management experience. Both use their level of experience and an extensive research study conducted by global communications leader Alcatel-Lucent to find the answer to a series of important questions. How do we truly perceive technology? Does technology actually shift our perception of relationships and ourselves?

Subjects from this extensive study of how technology and perception shifts relationships and ourselves crossed geographic, generational, socioeconomic, and cultural boundaries. Through many observations and interviews with people like you and I led to fascination and conclusions to how we like to say we define ourselves and how technology creates an identity shift throughout the various stages of our lives.

Let’s dive right into the book! As soon as your eyes hit the first page, you will be indulged in the world of the 3-P Model, a creation of identity derived from the presentation of one’s self-image, how one approaches the protection of things valued, and preferences amount the virtual world’s myriad choices. Also while shifting from chapter to chapter, you will examine how technology affects identity at different stages of life as well as meet the people from Alcatel-Lucent’s research study and explore their actual views/experiences that essentially molded the book.

This book doesn’t just provide us readers simple simple talk about the world of technology and self-image, it will change your perception of how we may have never payed close attention to how much of an impact technology has on us, especially in the networked-community age.
