Down and Personal with “The Obamas”
Jodi Kantor, New York Times reporter and author of new book “The Obamas” on the presidential couple and sharing their intimate and most prized personal moments inside of The White House. Kantor tries to capture her readers with the essence of the relationship between President Barack Obama and his wife, First lady Michelle Obama.
Kantor enlightens her readers that its not the politics she wants to get wrapped up in, but more-so the personal side of the couple in her book. In an effort to be as accurate as possible to capture the settle but powerful moments that this couple shares in the White House, Kantor conducted over 200 interviews. Michelle Obama herself blessed Kantor with her presence of being apart of one of the interviews she conducted. Talking about up close and personal!
Kantor had the pleasure of discussing her book earlier today at 6pm on WBEZ’s with Steve Edward at the Harold Washington Library Center located at 400 S. State Street. Kantor has also guest starred on popular shows such as Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” with Jon Stewart as he throws us some comic relief while discussing “The Obamas” with Kantor and how she felt about the controversies springing to the rise about her book. Whether there’s positive or negative buzz about Kantor’s book, its definitely a highly anticipated read.
