Product Review: iLuv Peanuts Character Collection Apple Sleeves and Cases
Snoopy, Charlie Brown’s pet from the Peanuts comics, is moving into the 21st century. Or at least his likeness is making its way onto iLuv’s current line of Apple and Samsung cases and sleeves. SocialTechPop received the iPad Snoopy Sleeve and the Snoopy Character Series iPhone hardshell case.
iPad Snoopy Sleeve
The sleeve we received was in a salmon pink color with sky blue piping. The interior is super soft plush as to relieve any fears of a scratched screen and the same material was found on the inside of the zippered exterior pocket. It doesn’t offer much in the way of drop protection, but most sleeves don’t. It unzips on two sides and the quality was sound. It’s a great option for someone who doesn’t want a full iPad case, but still some protection when it goes into a bag or purse. Price: $54.99
iPhone Snoopy Character Series
The hardshell case has a bright background image with a plastic buffer that extends around the sides of the phone. The buttons are easily accessible and the camera unobstructed. There is no protection for the screen included, but they offer matching protective films. We originally received one that cracked within the first couple days, but the company responded quickly with a replacement that has lasted multiple weeks without incident, so the defect seems to be the exception rather than the rule. The current case has held up quite well and looks quite attractive still despite daily use. Price: $34.99
The new product line offers a variety of options, characters, and color schemes for any Peanuts fan and younger newcomers will like the cute, vibrant designs. Don’t fret if the various neon options don’t appeal to you, there are also some more subdued styles in grays and blacks.
