PC lovers received some promising news today as a new blog called "Building Windows 8" was recently started by Microsoft. The blog promises "an inside look from the Windows engineering team" and will be continually updated throughout the development of the software. Steven Sinofsky, who authored the first blog post, wrote of Windows 8, "Windows 8 reimagines Windows. That's a big statement and one that we will return to throughout this blog. It is also important to know that we're 100% committed to running the software and supporting the hardware that is compatible with over 400 million Windows 7 licenses already sold and all the Windows 7 yet to be sold." Google continues to aggressively expand and conquer their territory overly nearly every medium technology has to offer. The technological juggernaut announced on Monday that it would acquire Motorola Mobility Holdings, the cell phone business that was split from Motorola for 40 dollars a share. Microsoft, in an attempt to keep up with the Apple's iPhone and and Google's Android, recently released their "Mango" smartphone. The phone is believed to be an upgrade from previous versions of Windows phones with its ability to multitask being at the center of those upgrades. In addition to multitasking, the phone has a "groups" feature which makes using social media easier as well as a powerful voice-to-text feature. Yep, you read that headline correctly: Bill Gates is getting into toilets. And no, I don't mean he's literally climbing into toilets, although that would be hilarious and I would pay to see it. No, Gates is sponsoring a challenge to reinvent the toilet for third-world countries. Eight universities were given grants to design a proposal for a "waterless, hygienic toilet that is safe and affordable for people in the developing world and doesn’t have to be connected to a sewer."
